James Cameron’s Lost, Slightly-Less-Popular-Than-’Avatar’ Classic Found!

If you’re as avid a reader of Director Wedlock or Filmmaking Bride as me, then you probably already know that the two frontrunners for this year’s Academy Award for Best Director, The Hurt Locker ’s Kathryn Bigelow and Avatar ’s James Cameron, were married from ‘89 to ‘91. But did you know that, prior to that, Cameron directed his future wife in an atrocious 1988 music video for Bill Paxton’s band Martini Ranch (Bill Paxton used to be in a band called “Martini Ranch”), a video that also featured appearances by Paxton’s Aliens co-stars Lance Henriksen, Paul Reiser and Jenette Goldstein, as well as Judge Reinhold for no reason? Of course not, because if you did, you wouldn’t be here. You’d be on a ranch somewhere, sipping martinis and shouting the new one-word anthem you’re basing your life around: REACH! Watch:

‘Avatar’ Success Begets Sequel Talk

‘Avatar’ Success Begets Sequel Talk

After seeing that Avatar has already made more money than literally any other film ever created in history, News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch is reportedly in preliminary talks with James Cameron to make him another fuckload of cash by making what would be, in essence, a second Avatar : Asked about potential “Avatar” sequels, chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch said on his quarterly earnings call Tuesday that the conglomerate is in “very early talks about it.” Director James Cameron “has ideas” for a sequel, he said, adding: “We will be pushing for one.” But he cautioned analysts not to “hold your breath for an early one” in a possible reference to Cameron projects often taking a long time to come to fruition. Despite Murdoch’s warning to analysts that an Avatar sequel could be some time off, news is that since the announcement, analysts haven’t been able to help themselves, with analyst message boards exploding with posts detailing dream casts, ideas for where to go with the plot, and how sweet it would be if Schwarzenegger did a cameo.

‘Avatar’ the Highest Grossing Film Ever

‘Avatar’ the Highest Grossing Film Ever

Welp, James Cameron finally managed to beat that boat movie he made. It’s official : Avatar , which is sort of a sci-fi thing that’s currently playing in theaters, has surpassed Titanic ’s worldwide box office, with a $1.859 billion total so far. Of course, Tooth Fairy is just gaining momentum, so… It should also be noted that Cameron’s film only holds the highest grossing title if you don’t adjust for inflation; otherwise, Gone with the Wind still takes the top spot. And if you adjust for highest grossing film that most guys have gotten a date to second or third base in, sorry, Avatar , it’s still the 2000 Ben Affleck/Gwyneth Paltrow film Bounce .

Webb May Direct Spider-Man, Probably Just Because of His Name

Webb May Direct Spider-Man, Probably Just Because of His Name

Marc Webb has been given the classic “OK, I’ll go to prom with you, unless someone better comes along.” The (500) Days of Summer director is reportedly at the top of Sony’s list for directing the Spider-Man reboot. But he doesn’t have the job yet: the studio also has a wish list with names like James Cameron, David Fincher, and Wes Anderson on it, because apparently no one at Sony has seen a Wes Anderson film but heard he did something with a “fox man” that must be comparable. Basically, the people in charge of Spider-Man have no idea what they’re doing or what direction they want to go with it and are frantically grasping at anything. So no one send them that Japanese Spider-Man video in the next few months, or they’re probably going to start thinking giving him a Megazord isn’t such a bad idea.

So Close To Seeing Sweet Avatar Love-Making

So Close To Seeing Sweet Avatar Love-Making

If you haven’t seen Avatar , or couldn’t deduce from the trailers, the alien lady and the pseudo-alien guy get a little H & H (hot and heavy) over the course of the film. Ultimately, to the dismay of the horny, the full act (SEX) was never shown, but in a recent interview, James Cameron revealed he did cut an S-scene that may find its way to the DVD, saying : We had it in and we cut it out. So that will be something for the special edition DVD, if you want to see how they have sex. Zoe Saldana, one half of the alien copulation team, added some specifics: If you sync to your banshee and you’re syncing to a tree, why not sync into a person? I almost feel like you’ll have the most amazing orgasm, I guess. It was a very funny scene to shoot because there were so many technical things that sometimes you have to keep in mind that paying attention to all those might disrupt the fluidity of how a scene is supposed to take place. My Avatar erotic fan-fiction just got so much more detailed.
