Perez is part of the MuchMusic extended family, appearing weekly via Skype on MuchOnDemand, and we can’t thank them enough for their love and support all these years, and for their love and support after the ceremony as well. We got to do a skit with the Jonas Brothers - so cool! And, we got to meet Taylor Lautner - super dooper cool! Plus, our beloved GaGaloo set the stage ablaze - literally - and delivered the most talked about performance in recent MMVA history! Ouch! At the Tony Awards last night, Bret Michaels was injured while performing with his band Poison. Reports confirm the extent of his injuries being a busted lip and a fractured nose. On Broadway’s biggest night, it was Sir Elton John and his lively and moving musical Billy Elliot that was the brightest star. The show garnered 10 wins from the Tony Awards and no one was more humble and gracious than the piano man himself. “Thank you for accepting us on Broadway,” he said. “We came here at a hard time economically. You opened your hearts and you opened your wallets.” Other big wins included Angela Lansbury , who snagged her fifth Tony award for her role in the revival of Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit ,the trio of “Billys”, young actor’s David Alvarez, Trent Kowalik and Kiril Kulish , who will share the award for each portraying Billy Elliot, and the production of Hair that won for Best Musical Revival. During the Tony Awards opening number on Sunday, reality whore Poison front man Brett Michaels was injured after a run-in with the set. The Rock of Love star performed Nothin’ But a Good Time with the cast of Rock of Ages and as he left the stage, a descending set piece hit him on the head and knocked him to the ground. According to Tonys spokeswoman Christina Stejskal , the rocker “missed his mark.” His injuries are unknown but he did not break his nose. Good thing! His face can’t handle any more plastic surgery!
